Week Twelve

March 29, 2015

This year, most of my spreads have been pretty colorful but I needed a little break from that and this week's spread was perfect for that. I didn't actually plan to have it mostly black and white but I'm really glad it turned out that way.

The title card is from One Little Bird which I just purchased. I love these week cards and will probably be using these for most of my spreads from now on.

Week Eleven

March 26, 2015

Yesterday I posted about my trouble using the Odyssey kit and I am not alone. I'm not quite sure what is making it difficult but I could not get this spread to work.
I decided to just pick out some cards from other kits/scrapbooking paper and this is what I got. This isn't what I had in mind at all for this spread and I'm not quite sure how I feel about it.

I was one of those spreads that I just needed to complete and move on. I hope you all like it a bit more than I do.

"Bad Day" Kit

March 20, 2015

I'm excited to announce I have a new kit in my shop called "Bad Day"! We all have bad days and it can be hard to find cards that help document those kind of days. This kit is perfect for that. Below, you can see an example of how this kit can be used. I've had plenty of ER trips in the past and I wish I had this kit back then. Thankfully, there have been no recent trips!

This kit has pretty neutral colors with a hint of blue. The illustrations for this kit were a lot of fun to make, especially the cloud!

When I first put in the thumbs down card, I put it in upside down and didn't realize until I went to take the picture! But how awesome is it that it can be used as a thumbs up or thumbs down?!

I think the ?#@! Happens card is one of my favorites because it can fit so many different situations...and it's funny. ;)

Week Ten

March 17, 2015

I cannot believe how fast this year is going! I think part of it si that I've actually been keeping busy instead of lying in bed all the time. That being said, I'm in bed a lot, but I'm still being productive by drawing, digitalizing art prints,  things like that. Week 10 was a pretty busy week though and it was a lot of fun.

The right side of this layout had all the journaling and a ton of white space which I didn't notice until I went to take pictures. Oops! I still love how it turned out. I love the colors in this month's Studio Calico kit, Odyssey. Yellow is definitely a color I've grown to love working with and I especially love it agains the light blues. I've also challenged myself not to use all my favorite cards first. I always do this and when I get to the last few cards, I never quite like how they look together.

My New Project Life Kits

March 15, 2015

I'm so happy to announce that I have released two new Project Life kits. The first one, Morning Joe, is for all of those coffee lovers out there and includes some digital illustrations, which was a first for me! The other kit is called Fur Babies and I'm sure you can guess what that one is about. This is a great kit of those of us who probably have more pictures of our dogs in PL than anything else.

Each kit contains 6 3x4 cards and 3 4x6 cards.

Here are a couple of examples of how you can use the kits!

Week Nine

March 04, 2015

Although not much happened last week, I reminded myself to take plenty of photos. The most exciting thing for me was getting succulents! They are so adorable and work so well in my craft room. I also got food allergy testing and it has been difficult chaining my diet but not as hard as I thought it would be.

I attempted to make a process video for this spread but it was way out of focus. I'm gonna do some googling and try and find a better way to do it!
